The Miss World contest is one of the largest beauty pageants on the planet. Although they have not touched the crown once, the Vietnamese representatives have made a strong impression and reached the top in the final round.
The person holding Vietnam's highest achievement at Miss World to date is supermodel Lan Khue with a top 11 achievement at Miss World 2015. She attracted attention for her sharp demeanor and standard body. Although not named in the initial top 20, Lan Khue received great support from the audience and entered the top 11 thanks to her high number of votes.
After Lan Khue is Miss Luong Thuy Linh with the top 12 achievement of Miss World 2019. With an outstanding height of 1m78, fluent English ability and confident demeanor, Luong Thuy Linh is considered one of the most comprehensive representatives Vietnam has ever sent to Miss World. Her charity project in Cao Bang also received great attention from the judges. Luong Thuy Linh is also the only Vietnamese beauty to win the top 2 in the "supermodel" contest at Miss World.
Previously, in 2014, beauty Nguyen Thi Loan also entered the top 25 of Miss World. Although she stopped at the top 25, she was still praised for her careful preparation, professional attitude and impressive performance style.
At Miss World 2017, Miss Do My Linh caused a big stir when she won the "Beauty With a Purpose" award. This is the most prestigious sub-competition of Miss World and the project "Current Electricity to the Village" helped Do My Linh enter the top 40 finalists. She is also the first and only Vietnamese beauty to win this award in this arena.
After Do My Linh, the Vietnamese representatives all maintained their top-ten streak at Miss World with: Miss Tieu Vy top 30 Miss World 2018, Miss Do Thi Ha top 13 Miss World 2021 and Miss Mai Phuong top 40 Miss World 2024.
Although she has not touched the green crown once, Vietnamese beauty may be gradually affirming her stable position at Miss World.
Currently, representative Huynh Tran Y Nhi is maintaining her form and performance quite well at Miss World. Up to now, Y Nhi has held a number of achievements in the sub-competitions such as top 43 "talented Beauty", Top 20 "Media Beauty" and Top 8 "Compassionate Beauty".
With careful preparation, meticulousness and energy, many audiences have high expectations for Y Nhi, thinking that she will make a difference in this beauty arena.
