People's Artist Cong Ly plays Huan's father, Viet's grandfather. His grandfather is old but still has to worry about his son. Despite his poor health, he still tried to protect his child, determined not to reveal where he was hiding and was almost thrown into the pond by the debt collection.
When Viet visited and cooked, he was moved and choked up because it had been a long time since he had eaten with his children and grandchildren. Therefore, he did not want to report to Viet when he was forced to sell cheap land to settle the debt.

In "My father, the one who stays", People's Artist Cong Ly plays the father-in-law of Meritorious Artist Kieu Anh. Previously, in the film "Gia dinh minh vui bat thuc", People's Artist Cong Ly also played the biological father of Meritorious Artist Kieu Anh.
The return of People's Artist Cong Ly on the small screen was supported by the audience. Most recently, the artist appeared in the movie "Our Family Is Hungry".
Since July 2021, People's Artist Cong Ly has had health problems and had to stop his artistic activities to focus on treatment. For more than 4 years, the male artist and his wife have continuously flown to Japan for treatment and therapy to recover their health.
Occasionally, People's Artist Cong Ly plays small roles in prime-time films such as " ex-husband, ex-wife, ex-lover", "Under the shade of the happy tree", "Our family is happy unexpectedly"...
Cong Ly was born in 1973 in Hanoi. He is a familiar face in Vietnamese theaters, participating in many TV series such as "The Wind of the Village", "Storm Through the Village", "Chuyen ngang qua pho sai", "Nu gai trong thanh pho", "Hong duong nguoc lai nang".
In 2019, he was awarded the title of People's Artist.
In particular, People's Artist Cong Ly has been attached to the program "ta Quan" for 20 years, since 2003. He made a special mark when playing the role of the Bac Dau for more than a decade until he had health problems in 2021.
