Who" officially surpassed 2.5 billion listens on Spotify, helping Jimin (BTS) continues to extend his impressive streak in his solo career.

Jimin (BTS) continues to score another notable milestone in his solo career when the song "Who" officially surpassed 2.5 billion streams on Spotify. The achievement was set after about two years of release, helping "Who" become the highest-listening song in BTS members' solo products.

According to updated data as of July 31 (local time), "Who" has reached 2.5 billion streams on Spotify. The song was released in July 2024 as the title track of Jimin's second solo album "MUSE". Only about two years later, the product has risen to become Jimin's most successful solo song on the world's largest online music platform.

The new achievement extends Jimin's series of imprints in the international market. As soon as it was released, "Who" received positive feedback thanks to its catchy melody, a mixture of hip hop and R&B, and the male singer's emotional performance. The song's content revolves around memories, anticipation, and emotions for someone they have never met.

Not only creating attraction on online platforms, "Who" also made its mark on international music charts. The song debuted at number 12 on the Billboard Hot 100 and maintained its presence on this chart for 33 consecutive weeks. This is considered one of the outstanding achievements of a K-pop solo artist in the US market in recent years.

Experts assess that the endurance of "Who" comes from the ability to maintain stable listen volume for a long time. Instead of just creating an effect in the release phase, the song is continuously chosen by audiences around the globe, thereby gradually conquering the milestone of 2.5 billion streams.

The album "MUSE" was released by Jimin during his military service. Although there were not many direct promotions, the album still received great attention from international fans and achieved many achievements in the charts. The success of "Who" is considered the biggest highlight of this project.

Before "MUSE", Jimin made a splash with the album "FACE". The title track "Like Crazy" once topped the Billboard Hot 100, making him the first Korean solo artist to reach number one on this chart. "Who"'s achievement continues to consolidate Jimin's position in the group of K-pop artists with great influence in the global digital music market.

The new milestone also comes at a time when BTS is receiving a lot of attention after members completed their military service and are preparing to return to joint activities. Previously, the group confirmed that they would not submit products to the 2027 Grammys with the desire that music is seen based on artistic value instead of language or regional boundaries.

With 2.5 billion streams for "Who", Jimin not only set a new record in his personal career but also continued to prove the persistent appeal of BTS members in the international music market, even when each pursued their own projects.
