The 72nd Miss World contest ended with the victory of the Thai representative - Opal Runata. The runner -up titles belong to the beauty of Ethiopia (runner -up 1), beautiful Poland (runner 2) and beautiful Martinique (runner -up 3). The representative of Vietnam, Miss Y Nhi, stopped at the top 40 final.
With this achievement, Miss Y Nhi continues to maintain Vietnam's streak of achievements in the Miss World arena.
On her personal page, Miss Y Nhi shared: Top 40 may not be the result that everyone is looking forward to, but for Y Nhi, it is a worthy milestone. Because this journey is not measured by ranking, but by each step I have strived for, each experience I have lived fully, by profound lessons and even the beautiful friendships I have had.
Although I feel a little regretful, above all, Y Nhi feels grateful for having the opportunity to live in a journey containing so many human values".
Sharing about the victory of the representative of Thailand, Miss Y Nhi expressed: I am very touched and happy for my roommate - Opal for the coronation. We have been together since the early days, sharing many stories with each other.
For me, this is a sweet fruit for Opal after a journey of continuous efforts. Knowing and understanding more deeply about Opal's story of overcoming cancer, I sympathize and am even more proud of Opal with this result."
Throughout the contest, Miss Y Nhi and Miss World Opal often share lovely and intimate photos together. The Opal beauty also gave many compliments to the Vietnamese representative.
Responding to Lao Dong reporter, Miss Y Nhi revealed: "I am lucky to get to know and connect with many wonderful friends at Miss World this time. Among them, my closest friend to a roommate is the Thai beauty - Opal. We not only helped each other in the first days of getting used to the new environment but also shared many stories, from difficulties, challenges to joy and hope in the competition".
Y Nhi expressed her joy and emotion when Opal became the new Miss World.
Huynh Tran Y Nhi also felt a little regret when looking back on her journey to participate in Miss World 2025, but above all, it was a happiness, because she had made an effort and devoted herself to this contest.
"Although this is a competitive competition, I always consider the other contestants as companions and great inspiration.
There are some friends with talent, intelligence and courage who are very impressive, teaching me a lot. It is the diversity and positive spirit of everyone that creates an atmosphere that is both competitive and full of respect and sharing" - Y Nhi said.
Miss Huynh Tran Y Nhi will return to Vietnam and she will soon return to Australia to continue her studies.
