Korean media reported that Yoo Hae Jin and Im Si Wan plan to collaborate in a new mysterious movie called "Mod-up".

According to reports, the two actors recently chose "Mod-up" as their next project and began preparing for the filming process.

Their management companies, VAST Entertainment and The Black Label, said both have received invitations to participate and are considering positively.

Mod-up" is described as a mysterious film revolving around mysterious knots. The project is co-developed and planned for production by Showbox - the investment and distribution company behind "Exhuma".

Exhuma" once became the best-selling mystery film in Korea after attracting 11.91 million viewers in 2024. Yoo Hae Jin participated in the work as the main role, along with Kim Go Eun and Choi Min Sik.

Director Kang Yoon Sung, who is behind blockbuster works such as "The Outlaws", "Big Bet" and "Low Life", will participate in the production of "Mod-up", increasing the expectations of the film industry.

The project is particularly attracting attention because this is the next work of actor Yoo Hae Jin after the explosive success of "The king's warden" (Vietnamese title: Under the Shadow) - a film that surpassed 16.85 million tickets at the beginning of this year and became the highest-grossing film in Korean cinema history.

Recently, Yoo Hae Jin was awarded the Daesang Cup - the most prestigious award at the 62nd Baeksang Awards ceremony in Korea.

Meanwhile, for Im Si Wan, "Mod-up" will mark his return to the big screen after 3 years since "Road to Boston" in 2023. The actor has recently continued to be recognized through projects such as "Boyhood" and "Squid Game" season 2-3.

Mod-up" is currently expected to start filming at the end of August this year.
