According to Korean media, on the afternoon of March 23 (Korean time), Yuna ITZY attended an album launch. At the event, the female idol admitted: "I feel quite a lot of pressure when working as a solo artist".
To maintain a stable mental state during the preparation period, Yuna said she maintains the habit of writing a diary every day. "I try to maintain a healthy, positive spirit... Writing it helps me recognize emotions and that has comforted me a lot," Yuna shared. The female idol also shared that she discovered in herself more "enthusiasm and perfectionism" when making a solo album.

The female singer also talked about the source of musical inspiration when learning from other solo artists, and especially mentioned the song "Air" by member Yeji that she listened to a lot during the preparation process. Yuna expressed that her solo debut "requires a lot of courage" and wants to focus on expressing herself more fully. If there is an opportunity, she also wants to try participating in making music/writing songs in the future.
I think making this first solo album requires a lot of courage. I want to focus on expressing myself more fully. If I have the opportunity, I also want to try to participate in composing or writing music myself," member ITZY said.
Yuna is an ITZY member who debuted in 2019 and became the second piece of the group to debut solo, after Yeji. The title track "Ice Cream" is introduced with a bright bubblegum pop color, easy to "addict", conveying the message of enjoying the present "as sweet as melted cream". The mini album includes 4 tracks: Ice Cream (title), B-Boy, Blue Maze, Hyper Dream, with different nuances. The product was officially released at 6 pm on March 23rd (Korean time) and Yuna also attended the countdown event at 5 pm on the same day to greet MIDZY fans worldwide.
