Attracting learners
Accounting has long been one of the majors that receives the attention of many candidates every enrollment season. The diversity of working environments and stable human resource needs make this major continue to be the choice of many young people.
Student Le Thi Trinh - Business Accounting major at Hanoi High-Tech College - said that she chose this major after learning about career opportunities and future development potential.
“I find accounting is a major with a fairly wide range of jobs. Besides, this is also a field with relatively stable recruitment demand. I hope that after graduating, I can find a job that suits my expertise and continue to develop myself in the profession” - Le Thi Trinh shared.
Sharing the same view, Nguyen Thuy Nga - a candidate who just participated in the 2026 high school graduation exam in Hanoi - said that she is considering registering for admission to the Accounting major.
Through research, I see that this is a major with quite diverse job opportunities and suitable for my abilities. I am a careful person, like to work with data and want to pursue a job with long-term stability. Therefore, I am learning more carefully about the training program as well as the career orientation of the major before registering for aspirations" - Thuy Nga said.

Manpower demand continues to expand
According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Van - Head of Accounting Department, Hanoi High-Tech College, the demand for human resources in the Accounting industry in the coming years will still be very large, especially in the context of the economy shifting strongly towards digitization.
For the economic sector, especially the Corporate Accounting industry, the demand for human resources in the next few years will continue to expand. However, the current market not only needs quantity but also needs high-quality human resources, capable of quickly adapting to change" - Ms. Van said.
According to the female lecturer, we are living in the digital age, where management and business operation models are no longer the same as before. This also causes many changes in the Accounting industry.
If in the past, accounting work was mainly associated with recording and processing data using traditional methods, now accountants need to know how to apply technology, use specialized software and participate more deeply in corporate governance activities.
There are many job opportunities in the industry. The important thing is whether learners have enough capacity, qualifications and adaptability to meet the needs of the labor market or not" - Ms. Van emphasized.

Not just need to be good at expertise
Experts assess that the career scope of the Corporate Accounting industry is currently quite broad. After graduation, students can work at domestic and foreign enterprises, small and medium-sized enterprises, individual business units or even start their own businesses.
In addition, the income level of the industry is also considered quite competitive. "Usually, the starting salary of new graduates ranges from 10 to 12 million VND per month. After a period of experience accumulation, the income level can increase two to three times depending on the capacity and value that employees bring to the business" - Ms. Van shared.
However, to be able to develop long-term in the profession, knowledge in the lecture hall is not enough. Students need to identify self-study spirit as the most important factor. Besides professional knowledge, learners need to equip themselves with digital technology application skills, foreign language proficiency and soft skills such as teamwork, communication, presentation or negotiation.
Those who love Math, like numbers, are careful and meticulous are very suitable. Besides, agility and open thinking are two necessary factors. Technology is constantly changing, regulations, circulars, and legal documents related to the field of accounting are also regularly updated. Therefore, professionals must always be ready to learn and adapt" - Ms. Van emphasized.
