After a nap in class at Nam Dien Kindergarten (Nghia Hung district, Nam Dinh province), T.Q.N (2 years old, in Nam Dien commune) died unexpectedly.
On October 15, speaking with a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Tran Van T (the child's father) said that yesterday (October 14) was the first day he and his wife sent N to kindergarten in the commune.
"At around 1:48 p.m. yesterday (October 14), I received a phone call informing me that my daughter was in critical condition after her nap in class. My wife and I immediately went to school and received the news that she had died. Yesterday was my daughter's first day of school, but sadly it was her last. At this point, her work has been completed, and my family hopes that the authorities will soon clarify the cause of her death," said Mr. T.
As Lao Dong reported earlier, on the afternoon of October 14, speaking with a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, the leader of the People's Committee of Nam Dien Commune (Nghia Hung District, Nam Dinh Province) confirmed that a preschool child had just died at Nam Dien Commune Kindergarten in the area.
Speaking further with reporters, a representative of the Department of Education and Training of Nghia Hung district said: "Initial information, at around 1:45 p.m. on October 14, after lunch break, in a classroom at Nam Dien Commune Kindergarten, the teacher called the children up and discovered a 24-month-old girl had died unexpectedly."
Immediately after receiving information about the incident, the authorities were present at the scene to conduct a crime scene investigation and autopsy to investigate and clarify the cause of the incident.
