On June 10, the Ministry of Public Security's electronic information portal just released information on the work of ensuring security and safety for the 2026 high school graduation exam of the People's Police force.
According to Colonel Tran Hong Quang - Deputy Director of the Internal Political Security Department (Ministry of Public Security), in 2026, the high school graduation exam will have the participation of more than 1.2 million candidates (the highest ever), taking place at more than 2,500 exam sites nationwide, with the participation of hundreds of thousands of teachers.
Exam results are not only for evaluating the quality of teaching and learning but also for students to use for admission to universities and colleges.
Therefore, the exam always receives special attention from the whole society, especially millions of parents; at the same time, it hides many risks of security and order, traffic safety, negativity, fraud, and even violations of the law.
Also according to Colonel Quang, thoroughly grasping and seriously implementing Directive No. 20/CT-TTg, dated May 18, 2026 of the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Public Security has issued Plan No. 402/KH-BC-A03, dated May 22, 2026, directing the Police of units and localities to develop plans and closely coordinate with the Education sector to ensure absolute security and safety for the exam.
The Ministry of Public Security will focus on a number of key tasks for this year's high school graduation exam.
Accordingly, functional forces will firmly grasp the developments of the situation, prevent, detect, and handle early and remotely risks that cause insecurity and safety for the exam and related legal violations such as: hired exam lines, exam bribery, accompanying exams, buying and selling, using high-tech equipment and artificial intelligence (AI) tools to cheat in exams;
Acts of violating procedures and regulations at the stages of issuing exam questions, printing and copying exam questions, transporting and preserving exam questions and papers, invigilating and grading exams; spreading false and untrue information causing public confusion, taking advantage of the Exam to carry out activities infringing national security, social order and safety; absolutely ensuring security and order, traffic safety, fire prevention and fighting and rescue at all locations where the Exam activities take place.
Advise and coordinate with the Ministry of Education and Training, Departments of Education and Training and authorities at all levels to prepare well the conditions to ensure security and safety for the Exam; review, supplement, and improve relevant regulations and rules, promptly overcome loopholes and shortcomings (if any); handle well when complex situations arise.
Propagating and training for those participating in organizing the Exam, candidates, parents and the whole society to raise awareness and consciousness of complying with the provisions of law on protecting state secrets with exam questions; how to prevent, detect, and handle the situation of using high-tech equipment and AI technology for fraud.
Colonel Quang added that the work of preventing the risk of fraud by high-tech equipment and applying artificial intelligence (AI) continues to be a key content in ensuring security and safety for the 2026 high school graduation exam.
Accordingly, the Ministry of Public Security has directed the police of units and localities to strengthen the review, detection, and strict handling of subjects buying and selling high-tech equipment for fraud; organize propaganda and dissemination to teachers on how to detect microphones and cameras that are sophisticatedly disguised in the form of buttons, glasses, pens...
