In 2026, the Ministry of Public Security assigned 2,070 enrollment targets to People's Police academies and schools from high school graduates and enlisted soldiers. Of which, 1,870 targets are for undergraduate training at schools and 200 targets are for cooperative undergraduate training at non-core training institutions.
Last year, this number was 2,350 targets. Accordingly, the total enrollment target this year decreased by 280 targets compared to 2025.
Training targets at 8 police schools in 2026 are as follows:

The People's Security Academy is assigned 400 quotas. In which, the Security nghiệp vụ (professional) group (enrollment in the Northern region) is 250 quotas, including 25 females and 225 males. The Information Security, Network Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention and Control major enrolls nationwide with 150 quotas, divided equally among 7 females and 68 males for both enrollment regions North - South.
The People's Police Academy is assigned 400 quotas. Of which, 360 quotas are for male candidates in the North, and 40 quotas are for female candidates in the North.
The People's Police Academy of Politics is assigned 100 quotas, enrolling nationwide. Each North - South region is enrolled with 50 quotas including 5 females, 45 males.
People's Security University is assigned 220 targets, only enrolling in the Southern region, including 22 girls and 198 boys.
People's Police University is assigned 300 quotas for the Southern region, including 30 females and 270 males.
The University of Fire Prevention and Fighting is assigned 200 targets, enrolling nationwide. Each region enrolls 10 females and 90 males.
Targets for training cooperation with schools outside the police sector:

In addition to direct enrollment quotas, the Ministry of Public Security allocates 200 quotas for cooperation in university-level training at non-core training institutions.
In which, 100 enrollment quotas are for the People's Security Academy to cooperate in training with the University of Information Technology and Communications - Hanoi University of Science and Technology; 50 quotas are for the Academy of Engineering and Security Technology to send for medical training at the Military Medical Academy (Ministry of National Defense); 30 quotas are for the Academy of Engineering and Security Technology to cooperate in training with the University of Medicine and Pharmacy (Vietnam National University, Hanoi); 20 quotas are for the Academy of Engineering and Security Technology to send for training at the Academy of Cryptography Technology (Ministry of National Defense).
