On June 13, a large fire at a hazardous waste treatment plant in Toc Tien centralized waste treatment area (Chau Pha commune, Ho Chi Minh City) is being verified by functional agencies to clarify the cause.
Previously, at about 5:30 am on June 13, a fire broke out in the hazardous waste treatment plant area in Chau Pha commune. Detecting the fire, workers in the factory used fire fighting equipment to put out the fire but failed. Because there were many flammable materials in the factory, the fire quickly spread, creating black smoke covering the area.
Upon receiving information, the fire fighting and rescue force (Fire and Rescue Police Department, Ho Chi Minh City Police) dispatched 6 vehicles and dozens of officers and soldiers to the scene, coordinating with local functional forces to deploy firefighting and prevent fire from spreading to surrounding areas.

By more than 9 am on the same day, the fire was controlled, and functional forces continued to handle the scene, preventing the risk of re-ignition.
Initial records show that the fire did not cause any casualties but burned down part of the factory. The cause of the fire and damage are being verified and statistically determined by functional agencies to resolve according to regulations.
