Meanwhile, regarding the negative incident at the Le Truc High School exam site (Quang Tri), functional agencies decided to cancel the exam results of 5 candidates, including the son of the Principal of Le Truc High School.
The verification results of the Investigation Security Agency of Quang Tri Provincial Police showed that there are sufficient grounds to determine that 6 candidates at this exam site violated the exam regulations. On that basis, the Provincial Examination Council decided to cancel the exam results of 5 candidates and directly notified parents and related candidates. For the remaining candidates, the Department of Education and Training has reported and requested opinions from the Ministry of Education and Training on the form of handling.
Regarding concerns about differences in handling violations of exam regulations, Mr. Huynh Van Chuong - Director of the Department of Quality Management, Ministry of Education and Training said that the incident at the Tuyen Quang Specialized High School exam site has a different nature from other localities because the violations were identified to have occurred throughout the exam site.
For Tuyen Quang, based on the initial investigation conclusion of the Ministry of Public Security, violations were identified to have occurred throughout the exam site. Therefore, according to the regulations in the Exam Regulations, there is sufficient legal basis to re-organize the exam for all candidates at this exam site to ensure the safety, seriousness, objectivity and fairness of the exam" - Mr. Chuong said.
Mr. Chuong also emphasized that re-organizing the exam does not replace handling the responsibilities of violating individuals. After a full investigation conclusion, relevant organizations and individuals will continue to be considered and handled in accordance with the law and exam regulations.
Regarding the reorganization of the exam, the Director of the Department of Quality Management said that the Ministry of Education and Training will implement it in accordance with the procedures and regulations applied to the 2026 High School Graduation Exam. The Ministry will continue to closely monitor the organization process to ensure that the exam takes place safely and seriously, creating peace of mind for candidates.
The announcement of exam results, score distribution and related information of the re-exam will also be carried out publicly and transparently like the first exam so that the whole society can supervise together.
