On July 6, news from Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee said that the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee has just issued a decision to appoint Ms. Hoang Thi Mai to the position of Vice Rector of Hong Duc University.
According to the decision, the term of appointment of Ms. Hoang Thi Mai is from August 24, 2024 to the time of retirement according to regulations. This decision takes effect from the date of signing and replaces Decision No. 1946/QD-UBND dated July 1, 2026 of the Chairman of Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee.
Ms. Hoang Thi Mai was born on June 6, 1970, is a Vice Principal, under the Board of Directors, with the title and qualifications of Assoc. Prof. Dr.
Ms. Hoang Thi Mai is one of the 4 personnel under the Board of Directors of Hong Duc University with the title of Assoc. Prof. Dr., along with Rector Le Hoang Ba Huyen and Vice Rectors Ngo Chi Thanh, Dau Ba Thin.
As of June 23, 2026, the list of officials and lecturers with the title of associate professor and doctoral degree of Hong Duc University has 199 people; of which 31 people have the title of Assoc. Prof. Dr., and the rest are doctors. This is an important human resource serving the training, scientific research and university governance of the school in the new period.
The consolidation of leadership personnel of Hong Duc University takes place in the context of Thanh Hoa province implementing the merger of Thanh Hoa University of Culture, Sports and Tourism into Hong Duc University.
After the merger, Hong Duc University continues to be a multi-disciplinary public higher education institution, directly under the Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, under the state management of the Ministry of Education and Training. The school's international transaction name is Hong Duc University, headquarters at No. 565 Quang Trung, Hac Thanh ward, Thanh Hoa province.
According to the arrangement plan, students of Thanh Hoa University of Culture, Sports and Tourism are admitted to suitable training departments of Hong Duc University, ensuring rights, regimes, policies and continuity in the learning process.
The merger is expected to contribute to streamlining the apparatus, using facilities and faculty effectively, and increasing the scale and capacity for training and scientific research of Hong Duc University.
