Attending and speaking at the conference, Ms. Dao Hong Lan - Member of the Party Central Committee, Minister of Health emphasized that, according to the requirements of innovation in management at educational institutions, the Ministry of Health believes in assigning Assoc. Prof. Dr. BS Nguyen Van Khai to continue holding the position of Rector of Hai Phong University of Medicine and Pharmacy until reaching retirement age according to regulations.
The Minister of Health said that Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Khai has had a long time attached to Hai Phong University of Medicine and Pharmacy, from 1996 to now, having held many leadership and management positions. This clearly shows the role and responsibility of the head for Hai Phong University of Medicine and Pharmacy to maintain stable operation and continue to develop.
The Standing Committee of the Party Committee and leaders of the Ministry of Health believe that with enthusiasm and experience in managing and operating the school, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Khai will continue to promote the spirit of solidarity and unity of officials and employees in the school, successfully complete assigned responsibilities and tasks, and improve the training of medical personnel and people's health care.
Hai Phong University of Medicine and Pharmacy has trained nearly 25,000 medical personnel, including general practitioners, dentists, preventive medicine doctors, traditional medicine doctors, university pharmacists, bachelors of nursing, bachelors of medical engineering. The school is also a pioneering educational institution in innovating the medical doctor training program based on competence with the support of experts from Harvard Medical School. At the same time, it has completed and been granted certificates of external evaluation accreditation cycle 2 with evaluation scores belonging to the group of leading schools in the country. The school also completed accreditation of 13 training programs (including 7 undergraduate programs, 6 postgraduate programs), some of which are accredited first in the country.
