After the victory on the opening day, the Vietnam U18 women's volleyball team will enter the biggest challenge in the group stage of the 2026 AFC U18 Championship when facing U18 South Korea at 1:00 PM today (July 2) in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand.
This is a match of great significance for coach Nguyen Thi Ngoc Hoa's team in the race to win tickets to the knockout round. U18 Korea has long been in the group of strong young teams in Asia, possessing a highly appreciated technical and physical foundation.
Before this confrontation, U18 Vietnam created a significant advantage thanks to a convincing 3-0 victory over U18 Taiwan (China) in the opening match. This result not only brought important points, but also helped young Vietnamese players gain more confidence against stronger opponents.
In the opening match, U18 Vietnam showed stability in both attack and defense. Athletes maintained a good pace of competition, limited errors and effectively utilized decisive moments to win.
Despite facing a very big challenge named U18 Korea, Anh Thao and her teammates still have a basis to aim for a positive result if they continue to maintain their form and excited fighting spirit.
