On the afternoon of September 13, Mr. Dau Viet Trieu - Principal of Quynh Tam Primary School, Quynh Tam commune, Nghe An province said that the school has completed plans to welcome Tien Son village students back to class from September 14.
According to the plan, the school arranges 3 cars to take students from Tien Son village area to school in the morning. After studying and eating semi-boarding at school, in the afternoon, students will be taken by car back to the area near their residence.
The school also assigned teachers to be in charge of each student group, reviewing the list, locations and pick-up and drop-off times to ensure safety and limit disruption in the early days of implementation.

Along with transportation, tables and chairs, semi-boarding meal areas and learning conditions have been prepared to receive students.
According to the leader of Quynh Tam Primary School, the organization of pick-up and drop-off is to remove parents' concerns about the distance from Tien Son village to the main school and branch.
Tien Son school point is about 6km from the main school and about 7km from the branch. Previously, some parents said that the distance was long, while many families go to work early in the morning, making it difficult to arrange people to regularly pick up and drop off their children.
In the afternoon of September 13, school officials and teachers continued to go to each family to propagate and mobilize parents to bring their children back to school. According to Mr. Dau Viet Trieu, many parents agreed with the pick-up and drop-off plan and organized semi-boarding.
As Lao Dong Newspaper reported, previously, on September 11, Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa - Director of Nghe An Department of Education and Training, along with a working delegation and leaders of Quynh Tam commune, directly dialogued with parents in Tien Son village about transferring students from remote school sites to the main school and branch.
According to the Nghe An Education sector, Tien Son school point has 5 level 4 classrooms, which have been in use since October 1998. After many years, the facilities have deteriorated. Through inspection, all 5 rooms were damaged, of which 3 rooms were assessed as high-risk, not ensuring safety for teachers and students.
Meanwhile, the main school and branch of Quynh Tam Primary School have been invested in facilities and are capable of receiving students from Tien Son point.
The school site rearrangement was built by the school from the end of June 2026. However, when entering the new school year, a part of parents did not agree with this plan.
As of September 11, 149 students in Tien Son village have not come to class, lasting for more than a week since the new school year started.
The Education sector and local authorities said that the transfer of students to the main school and branch is to ensure learning conditions and safety for students; and at the same time continue to record parents' recommendations to have appropriate solutions.
