Discretion of points between admission combinations
Based on the general guidance of the Ministry of Education and Training and the general scores for the 2025 high school graduation exam, Hanoi University of Science and Technology has announced the difference in scores between admission combinations using the high school graduation exam scores as follows:

Accordingly, the admission combinations for technical majors (A00, A01, A02, B00, D07, D26, D28, D29, K01) and the combinations for economics, education, and foreign languages (D01, D04) do not have a difference in points in the same major group.
However, when admission to the same training program, if using a combination of engineering majors, the benchmark score will be added by 0.5 points compared to the combination of economics, education, and foreign languages such as D01, D04.
The school gave an example, the FL3 program - Chinese Science and Technology is being admitted with 3 high school graduation score combinations: K01, D01 and D04. If the admission score according to the D01 combination is 20 points, the admission score according to the D04 combination is still 20 points, while the admission score according to the K01 combination is 20.5 points.
Converting benchmark scores between admission methods
According to the guidance of the Ministry of Education and Training, Hanoi University of Science and Technology applies the percentage Equating method to convert the standard scores between 3 admission methods: Talent admission, admission based on thinking assessment test scores and admission based on competency assessment test scores.
At the same time, the school also analyzed the data on the recent 3 years of admission, the common scores of admission combinations, especially the TSA exam and the high school exam scores in 2025 according to the two basic combinations A00 (Math, Physics, Chemistry) and D01 (Math, Literature, English).
Based on the candidate's exam scores and the top percentage of candidates' scores according to different methods calculated on the total number of candidates with scores according to that method from the floor score to the highest level, Hanoi University of Science and Technology has developed a correlational classification table between admission methods.
From there, the classification table for the standard scores between the school's 2025 admission methods is specifically determined according to 2 basic combinations, A00 and D01 as follows:

From the correlation table with specific floating point range values, the ham conversion standard score between different admission methods will be implemented. Accordingly, from the standard score x in the subdivision [a,b) of this admission method, the content will be equivalent to the approved score in the subdivision [c,d) corresponding to other admission methods according to the formula as follows:

The school also illustrates how to calculate so that students and parents can easily follow.
Accordingly, for example, the benchmark score of the major/ MS2 program - microelectronics Engineering and nano Technology using the high school graduation exam score according to the A00 combination is 27.68 points (x = 27.68). Thus, this benchmark score will be in the range of 3 with a high school score value from 27.55 - under 28.46.
At that time, the equivalent benchmark score for the thinking assessment test will be in the corresponding range of 69.88 - 76.23 points lower. From there, it is determined that the corresponding conversion coefficients will be: a = 27.55; b = 28.46; c = 69.88; d = 76.23
Applying the formula for calculating the equivalent benchmark score for the medical competency assessment test score from the high school benchmark score according to the combination A00 x = 27.68 will be calculated as follows:

Students and parents can refer to some more examples of calculating conversion scores between admission methods on the school's website.
floor score, forecast of Hanoi University of Science and Technology benchmark scores
Hanoi University of Science and Technology has also announced the threshold for ensuring input quality and forecasting the benchmark scores of majors and training programs.
According to the school, with the consideration of high school graduation exam scores, the majors expected to get the highest benchmark scores including Computer Science, Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (Advanced program) with over 27.8 points.
For other methods, predict the benchmark score on a scale of 100. Hanoi University of Science and Technology said it will convert the score to a common scale of 30 according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.
