The Department of Education and Training of Cam Le district said it had received a report from Ngo Quyen Primary School about the online handwriting contest.
Previously, on November 12, at Ngo Quyen Primary School (Cam Le District), there was a case of participating in the Vietnamese calligraphy contest on the Internet with the content "With Eras and the Vietnamese Calligraphy Club, honoring the art of beautiful writing through the 2024 Vietnamese Calligraphy Contest" with the theme Childhood for children. A parent of the student lost 55 million VND but was not allowed to participate in the contest and lost contact with the instructor.
Therefore, the Department of Education and Training of Cam Le district has requested school principals to disseminate information to parents and students to prevent and raise vigilance against crimes on the Internet. At the same time, special attention should be paid to forms of fraud through online competitions. Especially requests to transfer money, provide personal information or link to websites of unknown origin. Schools need to instruct parents and students to carefully check the authenticity of programs, and only participate in competitions organized by reputable agencies and organizations.
