On the morning of August 12, Da Nang City People's Committee organized the announcement of Decision No. 2078/QD-BGDDT of the Ministry of Education and Training on the merger of Quang Nam College into Da Nang College.
According to the decision, Quang Nam College is merged in its original state. The city is responsible for directing the handover and reception of personnel, finance, assets and learners, ensuring that training activities are not interrupted and the rights of relevant parties are maintained.
On the same day, the City People's Committee announced a decision to assign Ms. Vu Thi Phuong Anh - Vice Principal of Da Nang College - to be acting Principal until the title of Principal is consolidated, with a maximum term of 12 months.
Vice Chairman of Da Nang City People's Committee Nguyen Thi Anh Thi said that the merger aims to consolidate the organization and create a premise for the development of Da Nang College in the new period.
The city has approved a project to invest in and develop schools in a high-quality direction and is proposing the Ministry of Education and Training to select them to participate in the education modernization program for the period 2026-2030.
City leaders requested the school after the merger to soon stabilize its organization, innovate training programs, increase links with businesses, and prioritize the job needs of learners and the labor market.
