Dak Lak - The Provincial People's Committee requested the education sector to advise and rectify teachers' ethics after the incident of a teacher being assaulted by colleagues in the schoolyard.

On October 11, the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee informed that Mr. Nguyen Thien Van - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - had signed a document requesting the Department of Education and Training to inspect and handle the case of a teacher being assaulted at Vo Nguyen Giap High School (Ea O commune).

Accordingly, the Department of Education and Training advised the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to issue a document directing and rectifying the general situation of discipline and standard codes of conduct for teachers and students, in order to maintain order and discipline in the pedagogical environment, building a team of exemplary teachers and educational managers for students to follow.

Previously, as reported by Lao Dong Newspaper, the incident occurred at around 7:10 a.m. on October 3, in the schoolyard, near the security room.

While performing his duties, Mr. N.T.S - Secretary of the School Youth Union (teaching the Department of National Defense and Security Education) - reminded Mr. Dang Tang (teacher at the same school) about parking in the wrong place in the yard.

Immediately afterwards, Mr. Dang Tang approached Mr. S and used his hand to hit him, causing injuries. The incident occurred in front of a number of students and security guards of the school. The security force promptly intervened to prevent the incident from continuing.

After the incident, the school principal temporarily suspended Mr. Dang Tang from work to serve the investigation and verify the violation of assaulting colleagues.

The temporary suspension period is 15 days from October 9 to October 23.
