On May 23, the Department of Education and Training of Dak Lak province said that the unit had received an official letter from the People's Committee of Buon Ma Thuot ward regarding supplementing the list of requests for recruitment as civil servants for school health workers in the area.
To clearly define the standards and professional qualifications of school health workers recruited as civil servants, the Department of Education and Training has sent an official letter to the Department of Teachers and Educational Administrators requesting guidance.
After receiving feedback from the Central Government, the department will issue an inspection and examination plan to receive public employees working at public educational institutions in the area.
According to the Department of Education and Training of Dak Lak province, based on Joint Circular No. 13 issued on May 15, 2016 by the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Education and Training, school health staff must have professional qualifications from intermediate medical assistants or higher.
However, according to Circular No. 41 issued on November 3, 2025 by the Ministry of Health, the title of school health worker requires graduating from general medicine college or traditional medicine college.
Therefore, the unit needs to ask for guidance from the Central Government to have a basis for considering the reception of public employees for this team.
Previously, the provincial Education sector had repeatedly sent documents requesting localities to review and register the needs for receiving civil servants and recruiting teachers and staff at public educational institutions.
However, by the deadline, the list sent by Buon Ma Thuot ward did not include school health workers.
Believing that many colleagues in other localities are still on the list of requests to receive civil servants despite having equivalent qualifications, dozens of school health workers in Buon Ma Thuot ward have filed petitions.
Currently, many school health workers have proactively registered for supplementary training to complete their qualifications according to new regulations. Therefore, they hope that functional agencies will consider and create conditions for them to be recruited as civil servants.
Currently, the People's Committee of Buon Ma Thuot ward has issued an official dispatch supplementing the list of requests to recruit as civil servants for 22 cases, including 20 school health workers, 1 accountant and 1 equipment staff, sent to the Department of Education and Training of Dak Lak province.
