The registration time for aspirations will end at 5 pm on the same day.
Ho Chi Minh City currently has more than 169,000 9th grade students studying at secondary schools. Each student is allowed to register a maximum of 3 aspirations for public high schools (regular system) and 2 aspirations for specialized classes at 4 specialized schools or 3 aspirations for integrated classes at 10 high schools with this type of enrollment.
Candidates who participate in the integrated English program (according to Project 5695) at the secondary school level in Ho Chi Minh City can register 2 more aspirations for specialized English classes (according to Project 5695) at 2 specialized high schools Le Hong Phong and Tran Dai Nghia, raising the total number of aspirations to a maximum of 8 aspirations.

Students in other provinces and cities who need to register for the entrance exam to specialized schools in the city will submit applications to register for the exam at Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted.
By 9 am tomorrow (April 29), the 10th grade entrance registration gate for the first time will be locked. After this time, candidates and units cannot add or remove exam registrations.
It is expected that on May 4, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training will announce the number of candidates registering for each high school. Based on this data, parents and students can adjust their aspirations until before 5 pm on May 8. The adjustment only applies to the order or choice of aspirations, without adding new ones or removing them from the exam list.

The entrance exam to 10th grade for the 2026-2027 school year in Ho Chi Minh City will take place on February 1-2. 6.
Candidates take 3 subjects: Math, Literature and English. In case candidates register for specialized and integrated classes, they will take additional subjects accordingly.
The school advises and works with students and parents registering aspirations to enter schools 10-13km away from home.
In 2026, students will register their aspirations on the online system at https://ts10. hcm. edu. vn.
In case students register aspirations with a distance from home to school (over 10 km for Ho Chi Minh City and Binh Duong before the merger and over 13 km for Ba Ria - Vung Tau before the merger), the secondary school must work directly with parents, make a consultation record and clearly notify: after the adjustment period or after having the admission results, candidates will not be allowed to change their aspirations.
In recent years, the city has recorded about 2,000-4,000 students admitted but not enrolled each year, mostly concentrated in high schools in suburban areas.
Many cases are identified as being due to students not considering carefully when registering aspirations, leading to the fact that when they are admitted, they realize that the travel distance each day can be up to tens of kilometers, exceeding their ability to meet.
