At noon on June 7, more than 76,000 candidates taking the 10th grade entrance exam in Ho Chi Minh City completed the Math exam - the final exam subject in the entrance exam for grade 10 of public high schools in the regular year in 2025.
Tran Khanh Huyen, a candidate taking the exam at Trung Vuong High School (District 1), said that she had completed the exam at a good level and could have achieved about 7.5 points.
"I can do almost everything, but the practical and photo-based sentences are quite difficult. In particular, the number 7 question took me a lot of time," Khanh Huyen shared.
Contestant Dang Gia An commented that the exam has a clear differentiation.
"The first sentences are quite potent, I did well. However, from question 5 onwards, it started to get more difficult, especially question 6 has a rather strange question form, I have never met it before, so I was a bit confused," An said.
Compared to last year's exam, An said that this year's exam was easier, but there were still challenging questions.
In the hydrological section (7), An commented: "A and b sections are relatively easy, but c sections are difficult, highly classified, for excellent students".
When asked about the estimated score, An predicted that she would be around 7-8 points.
Meanwhile, contestant Hoang Nguyen Van Ha said there was not enough time to complete the whole test.
"The 6th part is a bit strange, I can't do it. In question 7, I could only do part a and b, part c but there was not enough time to do it. I predict I will get about 8-8.25 points if I don't make mistakes in my presentation," Ha said.
Mr. Dang Hoang Du (a Math teacher in Ho Chi Minh City) commented that the test is somewhat easier than last year.
