As of August 11, most medical training universities nationwide have announced the benchmark scores for 2026. The admission scores vary significantly between schools, but Medicine continues to be one of the majors with the highest entrance scores.
Among the announced schools, the Military Medical Academy has the highest score. The medical admission score for the military system ranges from 27.75 - 29.76, depending on gender and region.
The Medical major of Hanoi Medical University takes 28.5 points, an increase of 0.37 compared to last year and the highest in the group of civil schools to date. Thus, candidates need an average of 9.5 points per subject to be admitted if there are no bonus points. Medicine training at Thanh Hoa branch takes 26.25 points.
At Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy, the medical admission score is 27.95, an increase of 0.61 points compared to last year. The admission scores for the school's majors generally increased by about 0.6 - 2.6 points, in which Public Health, Obstetrics, Traditional Medicine and Nursing increased by more than two points.
University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Vietnam National University, Hanoi took 27.43 points for Medicine, equal to last year. Dentistry and Maxillofacial is second with 27.19 points. Notably, Nursing increased sharply from 19 to 22.76 points, i.e. an additional 3.76 points after a year.
In the next group, Thai Nguyen University of Medicine and Pharmacy took 26.5 points for Medicine. This is the second highest admission score of the school, after Dentistry - Maxillofacial with 26.8 points.
Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University takes 26 points for Medicine major, the highest among the majors of the school.
Pham Ngoc Thach Medical University takes 25.8 points for Medicine. Hai Phong University of Medicine and Pharmacy takes 25.1 points, and Hai Duong University of Medical Technology is 25 points. At the Vietnam Academy of Traditional Medicine and Pharmacy, Medicine is also the major with the highest benchmark score with 24.5.
In general, this year's medical benchmark scores continue to be quite differentiated. The top group includes the Military Medical Academy, Hanoi Medical University, Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy and Hanoi National University of Medicine and Pharmacy - all taking above 27 points. Meanwhile, some other public schools are commonly around 24.5 - 26.5 points.
