Hanoi University of Science and Technology announced the admission scores for 68 training programs in 2026 on the afternoon of August 9.
Accordingly, the benchmark score ranges from 20.06 to 29.54 according to the high school graduation exam scores.
Prof. Vu Van Yem - Deputy Director of Hanoi University of Science and Technology said that the benchmark scores for admission to training programs of Hanoi University of Science and Technology have generally increased compared to 2025, especially in STEM training majors due to the effect of the Government's scholarship policy as well as the demand for the labor market.
Accordingly, there are 3/68 programs with benchmark scores above 29 points; 14/68 programs with benchmark scores above 28 points; 30/68 programs with benchmark scores above 27 points and 53/68 programs with benchmark scores above 24 points.
The advanced program Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (IT-E10) continues to have the highest benchmark score this year at 29.54 points according to the high school graduation exam score. Next is the Computer Science Program (IT1) with a benchmark score of 29.27 points. Majors predicted to continue to have high competition all have very high benchmark scores such as the Control Engineering - Automation Program (EE2) with a benchmark score of 28.98 points; Microelectronics and Nanotechnology Program (MS2) with a benchmark score of 28.64; Electronics - Telecommunications Engineering Program (ET1) with a benchmark score of 28.57 points; Mechatronics Engineering Program (ME1) with a benchmark score of 28.47 points. The newly opened program this year, Computational Science for Intelligent Systems (MI-E22), has also achieved a very high benchmark score of 27.97 points.
The 2 programs with the lowest benchmark scores this year are BF-E19 and EM-E17 with a score of 20.06 points according to the high school graduation exam scores.

This year, Hanoi University of Science and Technology enrolls 9,700 students, using three methods: Talent selection, assessment of thinking scores, and based on high school graduation exam scores.
Last year, the benchmark score for Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (advanced program) was the highest at 29.39. Business Administration - in cooperation with Troy University (USA) had the lowest benchmark score - 19 points.
