Bac Ninh Department of Education and Training has just announced the 10th grade benchmark scores of 57 public high schools in the area.
The benchmark score is the total score of 3 subjects Math, Literature, English (not multiplied by a coefficient).
Han Thuyen High School (Vo Cuong ward) leads the whole province in the first-choice benchmark score with 22.76 points.
Second place is Ly Thai To High School (Tu Son ward) with a benchmark score of 21 points; third place is Thai Thuan High School (Bac Giang ward) with 20.5 points.
The school with the lowest nguyện vọng 1 benchmark score is Ngo Si Lien High School (Bac Giang ward) with 9.38 points.
Immediately after the 10th grade benchmark scores were announced, many opinions debated about the benchmark scores of Ngo Si Lien High School (Bac Giang ward).
With a benchmark score of 9.38/30 points, equivalent to candidates achieving about 3.13 points/subject who have been admitted.
While last year Ngo Si Lien High School took the highest benchmark scores in the old Bac Giang and Bac Ninh provinces with nearly 8 points/subject to be admitted.
According to the school's explanation, this year there are nearly 800 students registering for nguyện vọng 1 at the school, a decrease of about 50 compared to last year; no nguyện vọng 2.
Among the registered students, more than 200 have passed specialized schools, so the number of aspirations to the school is still nearly 560, while the quota is 585.
Therefore, the school is forced to take all candidates registering for nguyện vọng 1.
