On May 21, the leader of the People's Committee of Da Bac district said that the unit had sent a report to the People's Committee of Hoa Binh province to verify information related to child abuse that occurred at Hoa Mai Kindergarten (Da Bac town).
Previously, at around 12:35 on May 19, 2025, a video appeared on Facebook recording a teacher's inappropriate behavior towards preschool children in class.
Immediately after receiving the information, the People's Committee of Da Bac district directed the Department of Education and Training and the People's Committee of Da Bac town to work directly with the Board of Directors of Hoa Mai Kindergarten and teacher Dinh Thi A to check and verify the incident.
According to the report, the video recorded the incident that occurred in the 2023-2024 school year. Teacher Dinh Thi A was assigned to teach a 24-36-month-old class. In the posted video, Ms. A repeatedly abused children, seriously violating the professional ethics of teachers.
At the meeting with the authorities, teacher Dinh Thi A admitted that her behavior in the video was true and sincerely admitted her mistake.
Ms. A also admitted that her behavior had seriously affected students, the school's reputation and caused public outrage.
After the verification results, the People's Committee of Da Bac district assigned the Interior Office to advise the decision to suspend the work for Ms. Dinh Thi A., at the same time, the district continued to direct the relevant agencies to inspect and clarify the responsibilities of individuals and organizations related to the case in a serious, drastic and in accordance with the law.
On May 21, Ms. Trinh Thi Nguyet Hoa, Head of the Department of Education and Training (DET) of Da Bac district, affirmed that she will not cover up the teachers' wrongdoings, and at the same time requested the school to coordinate with local police to continue to verify and strictly handle them in accordance with legal regulations.
