On May 20, Hoa Binh Provincial Police informed that the Thong Nhat Ward Police force (Hoa Binh City) in coordination with the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department (PCCC&CNCH) promptly organized rescue and brought 11 students trapped in Cai stream area to safety.
Earlier, at noon of the same day, Thong Nhat Ward Police received a report about a group of students who were bathing in a stream and unfortunately encountered heavy rain. The water from the source poured in quickly and flowed rapidly, making it impossible for the students to return to shore.
Immediately, the ward police mobilized 12 officers and soldiers, coordinating with security forces and the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department, using 5 motorbikes and 1 fire truck to approach the scene.
Using professional measures, the rescue team approached the dangerous area, bringing all 11 students safely through the water, quickly stabilizing their psychology and providing initial health care for them. After that, the children were handed over to their families.
