The meeting was sent online to the People's Committees of the communes: Giang Thanh, Khanh Binh, Vinh Gia.
At the meeting, departments, branches and sectors, according to their functions and tasks, reported on the progress of investment preparation, problems and difficulties in the implementation of projects; reported on the preparation work, conditions for organizing the Project Starting Ceremony and proposed and recommended; and contributed ideas to the plan to organize the Project Starting Ceremony.
In the 2025-2026 period, An Giang will deploy the construction of 3 schools in 3 border communes, including: Vinh Gia Primary - Secondary Boarding School, Vinh Gia commune; Giang Thanh Primary - Secondary Boarding School, Giang Thanh commune; Khanh An Primary and Secondary Boarding School, Khanh Binh commune.
According to the report of the Department of Education and Training, the Provincial People's Committee has directed departments and localities to urgently organize the synchronous implementation of solutions to strive for 3 schools to start construction in 2025 and complete and put into use before August 30, 2026.
Under the direction of the Central Government, the People's Committee of An Giang province has registered with the Ministry of Education and Training to hold the groundbreaking ceremony of 3 projects on November 2, 2025, proposing to invite Party and State leaders to directly attend the groundbreaking ceremony at Vinh Gia Primary - Secondary Boarding School, Vinh Gia commune.
In her speech, Vice Chairman of the An Giang Provincial People's Committee - Nguyen Thi Minh Thuy acknowledged and praised the positive and responsible spirit of departments, investors, and localities that have urgently and actively carried out their tasks, closely following the direction of the Provincial People's Committee to deploy investment and school construction for border communes.
Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Minh Thuy requested investors to urgently prepare design documents to ensure the conditions and send them to the Department of Construction for appraisal and submission to the Provincial People's Committee for approval. Ensure full procedures for An Giang to simultaneously start construction of 3 school construction projects in Khanh Binh, Vinh Gia, and Giang Thanh communes on November 2.
Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Minh Thuy directed the Department of Construction to urgently organize the implementation of project appraisal work in October 2025; the Department of Finance urgently advised the Provincial People's Committee to allocate and arrange central budget capital appropriately.
Localities coordinate with the Provincial Police to ensure security, order and safety at the locations where the groundbreaking ceremony took place; organize cleaning, ensure the aesthetics of the entire route.
The Department of Culture and Sports appraised the content of the art program in Vinh Gia commune; directed propaganda on the mass media about the purpose and significance of the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of schools in border communes.
Ensure the groundbreaking ceremony takes place in a safe, secure, humane, and meaningful manner, demonstrating the special attention of the Party and State to the people and students in the border area.
Vinh Gia Primary - Secondary Boarding School, Vinh Gia commune has an investment scale of 45 classes (20 primary school classes and 25 secondary school classes); a total of 1,500 students, boarding about 600 students.
Giang Thanh Primary - Secondary Boarding School for Boarding Schools, Giang Thanh Commune has an investment scale of 30 classes (12 primary school classes and 18 secondary school classes; a total of 1,000 students, boarding students are about 430 students.
Khanh An Boarding Primary and Secondary School, Khanh Binh Commune has an investment scale of 45 classes (32 primary and 13 secondary school classes); a total of 1,500 students, with about 96 boarding students.
The total estimated capital to implement the 3 projects is about more than 388 billion VND.
