On October 13, Open Math Festival - MOD Bac Giang 2024 took place at FPT Bac Giang Primary, Secondary & High School.
With the theme "Playing with Math", the Open Math Festival with many useful experiential activities about Math and STEM in general aims to create opportunities for a large number of students, teachers, parents, mathematicians and educators to explore the "beauty" of Mathematics together.
The program attracted about 2,000 students, teachers and parents to participate.
Not only limited to lectures, the Open Mathematics Festival - MOD 2024 in Bac Giang also organizes a series of activities to experience applied Mathematics in real life at a series of model exhibition booths, intellectual sports games...
Participants were exposed to applications of Mathematics in life, thereby better understanding what Mathematics can do and what Mathematics learners can actually do with their expertise. In addition, high school students in Bac Giang province were also attracted by the "Ring the Golden Bell" contest. This is an opportunity for them to unleash their creativity and explore a subject that is always labeled "dry".
Mr. Dinh Duc Hien - Vice Principal of FPT Bac Giang Primary, Secondary and High School - hopes that through the event as well as experiential activities, students will see the magic but very familiarity of Mathematics, discover their potential, and develop their own thinking.
"I hope that the practical experience activities will help spread the love of Mathematics and inspire the passion for scientific research of teachers and students," said Mr. Hien.
