The Ministry of Education and Training requests universities to reconsider removing the C00 combination
The Ministry of Education and Training requires universities to consider and adjust the admission combination to ensure the rights of candidates, after many schools suddenly abandoned the C00 block combination (Literature, History, Geography) right next to the high school graduation exam. Deputy Minister Hoang Minh Son affirmed that autonomy belongs to schools, but the Ministry has discussed so that schools can make appropriate adjustments to avoid losing candidates' admission opportunities.
Since the beginning of 2025, a series of schools such as the Academy of Journalism and Propaganda, Procuracy University, Hanoi Open University and recently the University of Law, University of Social Sciences and Humanities (VNU Hanoi) have abandoned the C00 block, instead of other combinations such as D14, D15, D66. Grade 10 exam: Mistakes many candidates make when taking the Literature exam

On the afternoon of 6.6, Vice Chairman of Hai Phong People's Committee Hoang Minh Cuong checked the organization of the entrance exam for grade 10 of Tran Phu High School, in the school year 2025–2026. On the first exam day, candidates who do specialized math problems and Literature in the morning, in the afternoon, the remaining subjects include English, French, Japanese and informatics, each lasting 150 minutes. A contestant who violated the regulations for bringing the phone into the room was recorded in accordance with the regulations.
On the morning of June 7, candidates continued to take the remaining exams including Physics, Chemistry, Biology, History and Geography, with a test time of 150 minutes. Vice Chairman Hoang Minh Cuong requested the Examination Council to strictly implement the regulations, ensure fairness, transparency and proactively report when incidents occur outside of its authority.
This year's exam has some adjustments such as abandoning foreign languages, admission scores calculated according to the total score of three subjects of Math, Literature, Foreign Language (factor 1) and specialized subjects (factor 2).
