On November 23, social networks spread information about the incident in which a teacher at Tram Tau Ethnic Boarding School (Tram Tau Commune, Lao Cai Province) accused the school principal of being drunk and beaten and hospitalized.
The image of a teacher with many injuries on his face and a hospital certificate immediately caused a stir on social networks. The information "the principal beat the teacher in the middle of the Vietnamese Teachers' Day party" created a wave of controversy in the online community.
Some Facebook accounts claiming to be teachers hope that the authorities will soon intervene and clarify the cause of the fighting to avoid causing negative impacts on the educational environment.
To clarify the incident, Lao Dong Newspaper reporters contacted teacher Ngo Ngoc Nam - the character in the post.
According to Mr. Ngo Ngoc Nam, on the evening of November 19, the school held a party to celebrate Vietnamese Teachers' Day at Hien Dao restaurant (in Tram Tau commune).
When the party was about to end, Mr. Nam approached Mr. Thanh (the principal) about the boarding allowance and the teachers' work allowance. After that, Mr. Thanh said "the words will solve it" and suddenly turned to slapping Mr. Nam.
"When I went down to the gate, I continued to ask about the regime because it was the end of the year and also wondered about personal insurance. At this time, Mr. Thanh continued to hit and slapped me on the head and nose, causing injuries. At the same time, a parent intervened and was punched by the principal, Mr. Nam said.

Currently, Mr. Nam's health has temporarily stabilized and he is still being treated at Nghia Lo regional hospital.
According to this teacher, the payment of benefits in schools over the years has not been transparent, causing him to speak up many times.
On the same day, speaking with reporters, Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh - Principal of Tram Tau Primary and Secondary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities said that the incident was out of control and he personally was very saddened.
According to Mr. Thanh, after the fight, the two met to apologize and reconcile in front of the teachers in the school. The principal himself also reported the incident on November 20 to the People's Committee of Tram Tau commune.

"However, up to now, Mr. Nam has posted unverified information that affects the honor of the individual and the school. In fact, Mr. Nam was drunk, threatened and fought with parents, the village chief and was beaten by others. Teacher Nam hit me in the face once and I slapped him once. After that, Mr. Nam took a handful of toothpick and hit me in the face, causing bleeding, causing injuries.
Mr. Giang A Pao - The village chief was a prestigious person in the village, pushing Mr. Nam out, but Mr. Nam beat Mr. Pao back. Then Mr. Pao beat Mr. Nam" - Mr. Thanh said.
The school principal also emphasized: "The need to clarify who beat and how to beat must be investigated by the police, because that day was not me but also parents, guests, and teachers as witnesses. I hope the police will clarify, whoever is wrong must be held responsible before the law".
On the evening of November 23, speaking with Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Nguyen Van Hoe - Chairman of Tram Tau Commune People's Committee said that the authorities had only grasped the preliminary incident and were coordinating to clarify.
