On April 20, Bach Dang Primary School (Hai Chau ward, Da Nang city) organized the 2026 Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day with the theme "Books and Digital Transformation - Spreading Knowledge of the New Era".

The activity aims to respond to Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day (April 21), and at the same time contribute to building reading culture in schools, creating a positive learning environment and arousing the love of reading for students.
Immediately after the opening ceremony, the school launched a reading movement associated with digital transformation, combined with displaying books and student products.
Activities are organized diversely, suitable for each grade level. Grade 1 students participate in telling stories based on books; grade 2 tells stories through paintings combined with presentations; grades 3 and 4 design posters introducing books; grade 5 performs the "Reading Culture Ambassador" competition in the form of presentations combined with slides or videos.
Notably, the book exchange activity attracted a large number of students to participate. Students brought the books they had read to exchange and exchange for new books suitable for their interests and age. Through this, it not only helps save costs but also contributes to spreading reading culture and encouraging the spirit of sharing among students.

The application of digital technology is deployed at an appropriate level, ensuring simplicity, ease of implementation and not putting pressure on students. Thereby, contributing to the formation of digital skills and improving students' self-learning ability.
The organizing committee scores based on criteria on content, presentation skills, creativity and effectiveness of digital technology application, with a scale of 100 points for each competition content. First, Second, Third and Consolation prizes will be awarded to collectives and individuals with outstanding performances.
The festival is a practical activity, contributing to spreading reading culture, while linking reading books with digital transformation in the primary education environment.

According to Ms. Truong Thi Hong Thanh - Secretary of the Party Cell, Principal of Bach Dang Primary School, the festival is organized with the theme "Books and digital transformation - Spreading knowledge in the new era".
This topic reminds students that besides traditional printed books, today's digital media also opens up more opportunities for teachers and students to access knowledge more conveniently, richly and creatively. The important thing is that students will know how to love books, know how to read books and know how to use technology as an effective learning support tool.
In particular, the activity "Old Books - New Knowledge - Spreading Love" is not just simply sharing back books that have been read, but also helps children bring each other positive things, create more faith and motivation in learning as well as life," Ms. Thanh said.
