On October 13, nearly 400 former students of Viet Duc High School (Hanoi) held a class reunion, recalling memories of their school days with their teachers after 20 years of graduation.

The 20th graduation day of former students of Viet Duc High School is called "Touch" with the desire to be a point to touch the innocent, carefree emotions of students, touching the memories when they were still in school.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh - former teacher of Viet Duc High School - attended the festival with a joyful, emotional and proud mood. The students she used to be her homeroom teacher and class teacher have now grown up.

"I retired in 2007. Many years have passed, but when I meet my students again, the memories of teaching them chemical formulas and chemical reactions come back clearly in my mind," Ms. Thanh shared.

As one of nearly 400 former students of Viet Duc High School attending the festival, Mr. Pham Truong Minh felt proud to return to his old school, meet old friends and teachers. However, Mr. Minh felt a bit regretful because his high school homeroom teacher was no longer there to celebrate with his students on this reunion day.

"20 years is a long process in every person's life. 3 years of high school are 3 pivotal years in shaping personality and orienting future career. Returning to my old school as a former student, I would like to thank the teachers who directly guided me to adulthood as well as the generations of teachers currently working at the school" - Mr. Minh expressed.

Ms. Nguyen Hong Le - Program organizer - said that to have a warm gathering with many meaningful activities is a long journey of coming up with ideas and starting to implement.

The most difficult thing was to gather all the students of the 2001-2004 class after many years of leaving high school. To do that, the Organizing Committee had 4 years to carry out and nurture the plan.

"We hope that after the reunion, in 5 years, 10 years, we will still maintain the tradition, being a point of connection between people. Student life is the most beautiful in each of our lives. We want this to be an opportunity for everyone to put aside all the worries of life and return to the beautiful youth" - Ms. Le hopes.

Within the framework of the event, students of the 2001-2004 class of Viet Duc High School organized a series of activities such as: Football tournament, basketball tournament and cultural activities... to connect, have time to exchange and recall old memories.
