Behind the impressive scores is the 6.5-year journey of studying and training to become military doctors.
From a score of 30/30 to the blouse dream
September 4th marked a special milestone for 141 new students when they officially stepped through the door of the Military Medical Academy.
Among the faces enrolled this year, 12 students achieved an admission score of 30/30.
Khuong Huy Vinh San, a former student of class 12C1, Le Van Huu High School (Thanh Hoa) is one of the outstanding faces with a total admission score of 30/30.
According to the results of the 2026 high school graduation exam, Vinh San achieved 29.75 points in the A00 combination, including 10 points in Math, 9.75 points in Physics and 10 points in Chemistry.
With this result, Vinh San is one of the three valedictorians of block A00 of Thanh Hoa province and also the runner-up of A00 nationwide. At the capacity assessment exam of the Ministry of National Defense, the male student achieved 126/150 points. Previously, he won the second prize in the provincial-level excellent student selection exam in Physics.
But for Vinh San, those numbers are now behind him. The thing that makes him happiest on the enrollment day is officially becoming a student of the school he dreams of and making his parents proud.
Talking to a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, Vinh San said that during the exam preparation process, he mainly studied with three subject teachers and closely followed the roadmap built by the teachers.
The teachers are very dedicated and enthusiastic. I also often chat and exchange with the teachers like friends, so studying is quite comfortable, I am not under any pressure at all," Vinh San shared.
Entering the military environment, the male student determined to actively learn about the training program, learn from his seniors and try to adapt quickly to military life.
Vinh San's long-term goal is to become a good doctor to be able to treat diseases and save people.
In addition to studying, the male student maintains the habit of exercising, exercising for many years and has a hobby of playing guitar.
Even the name Khuong Huy Vinh San is associated with a special story of the family.
According to Vinh San, since before getting married, his father had learned about King Duy Tan - the 11th king of the Nguyen Dynasty, whose real name was Nguyen Phuc Vinh San. Impressed by the thinking and progressive thoughts of this king in the historical context at that time, his father once thought that if he had a son later, he would name him Vinh San.
That wish later became the name of his son, and in 2026, Vinh San entered the Military Medical Academy with a new journey ahead.
The 6.5-year journey begins
The enrollment date is not just a milestone for Vinh San alone.
Speaking at the reception of new students, Colonel, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Duy Bac - Deputy Director of the Military Medical Academy - congratulated 141 students who passed the entrance exam and officially became medical doctor students of the 60th Military system.
Behind that result are 12 years of study and training of each student. But entering the Military Medical Academy also means a new journey, with higher requirements for study, discipline and training in the military environment.
After completing admission procedures, new students will have health checks; learn about the history and traditions of the Academy; programs, training regulations and regulations in student management.
Students also visited the library, reading room, learned about textbooks, learning materials and the Academy's traditional house.
In the early days of the course, the Academy organizes activities to help new students get acquainted with the new environment such as exchanging with compatriots, culture, sports, visiting the K9 - Da Chong historical relic area and building determination for the course.
Since enrollment, students have been guaranteed food, accommodation, military equipment and conditions to serve study and living according to regulations.
According to leaders of the Military Medical Academy, the initial activities of the course are aimed at helping students gradually adapt to the military environment, and feel secure entering the 6.5-year training journey.
With 141 new students, the scores that once helped them step through the door of the Military Medical Academy are now just a starting point.
Ahead were years of medical training, military training and strict professional requirements.
As for Vinh San, after a 30/30 admission score and achievements at the age of 18, it is a goal that he has chosen for the long journey ahead: To become a good doctor to treat diseases and save people.
