Previously, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training (GDĐT) announced the number of students registered for regular, specialized and integrated grade 10 classes in the 2026-2027 school year in nguyện vọng 1 of high schools.

At this stage, students are only allowed to adjust their aspirations or priority order. Candidates are absolutely not allowed to add new or remove themselves from the exam list.
The 10th grade entrance exam in Ho Chi Minh City in the 2026-2027 school year has more than 151,000 registered candidates, while the total target for public high schools is more than 180,000 students. This means that more than 30,000 students will not be admitted to the 10th grade public school and will have to choose other directions such as studying in private schools, continuing education centers, vocational training or studying abroad...
The exam will take place in two days, June 1st and 2nd, with three compulsory subjects including Literature, Mathematics and Foreign Language; candidates registering for specialized or integrated classes will take additional subjects accordingly.
