This year is the first year of marking Literature according to rubic (detailed evaluation criteria used to mark essays).
In the guide for marking Literature according to rubic, the Ministry of Education and Training noted that the answer key is built according to competency assessment requirements, so examiners need to focus on considering the direction and ways of solving candidates' problems; pay attention to evaluating the content of the test in an open direction, encouraging creativity but must be in accordance with ethical and legal standards.
Examiners comply with the answers, do not build other answers themselves; carefully study the answers and guide marking, Rubric scores the part "II. WRITING".
For papers with different expressions and deployments from the answer key, examiners need to consider the persuasiveness of the essay to score.

Regarding the grading work, Standing Deputy Minister of Education and Training Pham Ngoc Thuong said that the answer key will be open. In addition, the Ministry has thoroughly grasped the requirement to ensure objectivity, fairness and uniformity nationwide.
We respect papers that express personal opinions, even refute the issues raised in the exam if the reasoning is reasonable and convincing. The Ministry encourages students to express their thinking, opinions and critical ability" - Mr. Thuong emphasized.
The Ministry of Education and Training will also require localities to update the situation of essay exam marking for Literature each day. Cases with unusual signs will be reviewed immediately.
