On the morning of September 5, in Phu Loi ward (Can Tho City), Can Tho City Police organized the opening ceremony of the 2026 - 2027 school year of People's Police Culture School III.
According to Can Tho City Police, implementing the policy of the Central Public Security Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security on organizing People's Police Cultural Schools, People's Police Culture School III was established to create a safe, disciplined, and loving boarding learning environment.
This place not only performs the task of imparting knowledge but also cares for life, fosters personality, trains self-reliance, and helps children have more conditions to overcome circumstances and firmly move towards the future.
In the first school year, the School welcomed 554 students who are children of policy families, children of wounded soldiers, martyrs of the People's Police; students who are ethnic minorities in difficult circumstances and children in need of care and sponsorship from 3 levels of education from Can Tho City and Dong Thap, Vinh Long, An Giang, Ca Mau provinces.
At the ceremony, Lieutenant General Tran Minh Tien - Chief of Office of the Investigation Police Agency of the Ministry of Public Security solemnly read the New Year's greeting letter from the Minister of Public Security. The wishes, feelings and expectations of the leaders of the Ministry of Public Security are a valuable source of encouragement, adding faith for the collective of officials, teachers, staff and students of the School to unite, strive to build a comprehensive education environment, and successfully complete tasks in the first school year.
On this occasion, leaders of Can Tho City donated 80 million VND to the School's Scholarship Fund, from the sponsorship of a lottery company in the area.
In a solemn atmosphere, Mr. Dong Van Thanh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Can Tho City performed the opening drumming ceremony. In the schoolyard filled with colorful flags and flowers, drums rang out, officially opening the 2026 - 2027 school year and the journey of learning and training of the first generation of students of the People's Police Culture School III.
Within the framework of the ceremony, Major General Huynh Viet Hoa - Director of Can Tho City Police and delegates performed the inauguration ceremony of the STEM room at People's Police Culture School III.
