Bring AI into every classroom hour, every activity in class
Today, my teacher and I study the 33rd lesson with the theme: Blood and the circulatory system of the human body - Ms. Huyen Trang - a Natural Science teacher at Ngoc Lam Secondary School (Bo De Ward, Hanoi) rang out, starting a new class.
Below the class, the students of class 8A1 were attention- wagering at the excited look, waiting for interesting things.
After a few steps, Ms. Huyen Trang connected to her personal computer, displaying on the TV screen many 3D images of the circulatory system of the human body, blood vessel system, and cardiovascular system. What is special is that students, through touch screens, can interact and learn about contents such as: Mechanism of oxygen and nutrient transportation; path of drugs into the veins, the process of the heart constantly contracting to push blood all over the body...
Each student took turns putting on a board, introduced by Ms. Huyen Trang, instructing on how to use function bars and tools on the touch screen, learning each content and knowledge according to the program.
Below are the sounds of admiration, occasionally the cheers and the voices of volunteer students on the board to directly try this new technology. Not just a white powder, blackboard, the voice of the teacher lecturing theory, the student diligently taking notes, the class hours of the teacher and student of class 8A1 become very special and lively.
This way of learning makes me feel extremely interested and easy to understand - Phan Hong Loc, a student in class 8A1.
The female student said that this was not the first time she was instructed by teachers on how to use AI and she herself was self-taught, proactively learning and applying it to make her study more effective.
I can use AI to summarize knowledge according to thinking diagrams and lesson systems. Or sometimes, I can find out more information, answer questions..." - Hong Loc expressed.
Also carrying the spirit of applying AI and technology every hour to class, young teacher Nguyen Thi Nga - first grade teacher at Tay Tuu Primary School (Tay Tuu Ward, Hanoi) explores and learns how to innovate teaching day and night.
On the occasion of October 20, Ms. Nga instructed students to make gifts for their mother. Each gift will have a QR code so that when parents scan the code, they can hear the recording of the wish that she and the students have prepared together.
Thanks to the support of technology, Ms. Nga's classroom hours are no longer dry or heavy. Spelling and learning lessons, which are easy to make children depressed and lose focus, have now become an exciting time. As for Ms. Nga, this is the motivation to continue to strive to innovate and be creative every day.
Not only Ms. Huyen Trang's class or Ms. Nga's class, the movement of innovation in teaching, pioneering the application of technology, digital transformation is strongly implemented throughout the education sector.

AI cannot replace teachers
Sharing more about the process of implementing and applying technology to lectures, Ms. Huyen Trang recalled that 2 years ago, when AI exploded and appeared everywhere, she realized that if only there was a ban, students would still use this technology, but in a steady, unoriented way, it could easily lead to passive copying.
"Therefore, I decided to bring AI into the classroom, with a soft but solid philosophy - choosing to give tools, instead of building barriers" - Ms. Huyen Trang said.
UB - Principal of Ngoc Lam Secondary School - said that in the technology era, students have many advantages due to early access to computers and artificial intelligence, quick thinking and good self-study ability. Therefore, she requires teachers in the school to have a firm grasp of students' abilities, evaluate through scores, tests, and monitor progress in each stage.
Teachers in the school are encouraged to proactively innovate teaching methods and apply technology in each class hour, but along with that is a reminder: AI only supports, not replaces human thinking. If students abuse it, their creativity and independent thinking will be limited.
"In professional activities, teachers work together to guide students to use technology properly and ethically" - Ms. Giang emphasized.
Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Viet Khoi - Vice Principal of the National University of Science and Arts - commented that artificial intelligence and technology can support young people to access many valuable sources of documents but also "work" on many exercises for students, making students dependent and lacking creative thinking.
Therefore, in lectures and seminars with teachers and students, Mr. Khoi always analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of technology and emphasizes that students must focus on learning and updating new technology to apply it effectively. In particular, we must always think and be creative so that our products are unique and have identity.
Taking quality as the axis - taking teachers as the key - taking technology as the lever
Promoting digital transformation and innovating teaching methods, encouraging teachers and managers to apply information technology, exploiting modern digital platforms and tools to build a smart, open, creative, humane learning environment and adapt to the requirements of the digital age - this is one of the important tasks set by Party Central Committee member and Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son for the entire industry in the coming time.
The Commander of the education sector affirmed that the Ministry of Education and Training is focusing on effectively implementing Resolution No. 71-NQ/TW, in which the task of building and developing the teaching staff is clearly identified as the core force, playing a central role in the cause of educational innovation according to the motto "Taking quality as the axis - taking teachers as the key - taking technology as the leverage".
However, the Minister also emphasized the view that in the current era of digital technology and Internet development, the teacher-student relationship must be given more importance because only respect and affection for teachers and students can keep education from being distorted, practical, and insensitive.
"Society needs to respect and strictly maintain the spirit of "respect for teachers". The family must teach children to respect teachers and value learning. Schools must create an environment for teachers and students to truly connect. Teachers themselves must always practice to properly express their role as teachers in each lesson, each action" - Minister Nguyen Kim Son advised.
