Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin were moved when they won the Blue Dragon Awards 2025 together

On the evening of November 19, the 46th Blue Dragon Film Awards took place in Seoul, South Korea.

No Other Choice by director Park Chan Wook won big at Blue Dragon this year with 6 awards, including Best Film award.

But the highlight of the awards ceremony was the resounding victory of star couple Son Ye Jin and Hyun Bin. Both won the Best Actor/Actress and Most Favorite Star awards.

Hyun Bin, with his role in the film Harbin, defeated strong competitors such as Lee Byung Hun, Jo Jung Suk, Park Jung Min and Sol Kyung Gu to become the Best Actor.

Holding the prestigious trophy, Hyun Bin shared: During the process of making Harbin, it was a period of time when I learned and felt many things that went far beyond a film.

The reason I can live in this country and stand in the position I have today is thanks to those who have devoted and sacrificed to protect the Fatherland. I would like to send this award to them.

The actor revealed that he initially rejected the project because he thought he could not carry the heavy role of patriotic soldier Ahn Jung Geun. But thanks to the director's perseverance and encouragement, Hyun Bin accepted the invitation.

Hyun Bin thanked the director and all colleagues, as well as the film crew, for accompanying him on his difficult journey and reaping the fruits he has achieved today.

The actor also did not forget to thank his family - who have always silently supported, especially his wife Son Ye Jin: "I would like to express my deep love and gratitude to my wife, Ye Jin, who, with just her presence, has become a great source of strength for me, and for our son".

Right after congratulating her husband on his victory, Son Ye Jin was surprised when her name was announced for the Best Actress award, thanks to her role in the movie No Other Choice.

This is the second time Son Ye Jin has won this category from the Blue Dragon. Previously, Son Ye Jin became the Blue Dragon Queen in 2008 with the movie My Wife Got Married.

Son Ye Jin emotionally shared: I did not prepare before the speech, because I did not know if I deserved to receive this award or not.

At the age of 27, I received the Best Actress award for the first time at Blue Dragon. At that time, I said: As a 27-year-old actress, its not easy. I think this award will become a source of strength for me. You have helped me make my dream of receiving the Best Actress award at Blue Dragon come true.

After 7 years, I have returned to cinema. I was very excited and happy, but also worried about whether I could do well or not. After getting married and becoming a mother, I felt different emotions and the way I saw the world also changed a lot. I really want to be a good adult.

Finally, she sincerely expressed: I would like to share the joy of this award with the two men I love the most - Kim Tae Pyung (hyun Bins real name) and our son.
