Lao Cai invests 28 billion VND to build boarding school in Bao Yen

Lao Cai - Xuan Thuong Ethnic Minority Boarding Primary and Secondary School is invested in a 4-story building, 26 boarding rooms with a kitchen and auxiliary items.

On August 27, information from the People's Committee of Lao Cai province said that the province has just approved the investment policy for the Xuan Thuong Ethnic Minority Boarding Primary and Secondary School Project, Bao Yen commune, with a total investment of 28 billion VND from the provincial budget.

The project is managed by Bao Yen Commune People's Committee, implemented in the period 2026-2028, to meet the needs of eating, living, living and studying of boarding students.

According to the approved scale, the project will build a 4-story building block, with a total floor area of about 2,672 m2.

Floor 1 arranges a dining room and kitchen; floors 2, 3 and 4 include 30 rooms, including 26 semi-boarding rooms, 2 student management rooms and a common living room with 2 compartments.

In addition to the main building block, the project also invests in auxiliary and exterior items such as elevated embankments, concrete yards, water supply and drainage systems, electricity supply, ground leveling, fire prevention and fighting, site clearance and related technical systems.

The investment aims to gradually complete the school's facilities according to current standards, improve learning conditions, improve the quality of nurturing, caring for, and educating students, and at the same time maintain and complete the criteria for schools meeting national standards.

Bao Yen Commune People's Committee is assigned to preside over and coordinate with relevant agencies to receive appraisal opinions and complete dossiers to submit to competent authorities for investment decision according to regulations.

The Department of Finance is responsible for advising on balancing and allocating capital to implement the project; and at the same time monitoring and inspecting the implementation of investment policies.

Relevant departments and agencies coordinate to guide the implementation, ensuring the project is safe, effective and in accordance with legal regulations.
