In the 2024-2025 school year plan, many localities plan to give students a break for the Lunar New Year in 2025. In general, the Lunar New Year holiday schedule this year in provinces and cities is more flexible than last year.
Up to now, Kon Tum is the place where students have the longest Tet holiday. The Tet holiday schedule for students in this province starts from January 24 to February 7. Because February 7 is Friday, students in this province have two more days off on the weekend. Thus, Kon Tum students have a total of 17 days off for Tet.
In Ho Chi Minh City, the City People's Committee has approved the proposal to adjust the Tet holiday for preschool education, general education, and continuing education in the area from January 23 to February 2, 2025 (ie December 24 to January 5).
Thus, students in Ho Chi Minh City will have 11 days off for Tet instead of 9 days as originally planned.
For many years, students in Ho Chi Minh City have had a long Tet holiday of 14-16 days if counting the two weekends before and after Tet holiday. Thus, 2025 is the year that students in Ho Chi Minh City will have the shortest Tet holiday in many years.
In Binh Thuan, the Department of Education and Training has just issued instructions to education management agencies and educational and training institutions in the province on holiday and Tet holidays in 2025.
Accordingly, the Lunar New Year holiday of At Ty year 2025 for civil servants, public employees and workers in the education sector is 9 days: from Saturday, January 25, 2025 (ie December 26, Giap Thin year) to Sunday, February 2, 2025 (ie January 5, At Ty year).
