Speaking at the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Duc Son - Rector of Hanoi National University of Education - said that the school is one of the oldest higher education institutions in Vietnam, and also one of the two key national pedagogical universities.
In the current development strategy, Hanoi National University of Education is promoting the construction of an international cooperation network to improve the quality of training, research and global education integration.

According to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Duc Son, Vietnam is implementing a project to make English the second language in schools. Hanoi National University of Education determines that this is both an important responsibility and an opportunity to affirm its pioneering role in education innovation.
On that basis, the school wishes to strengthen cooperation with international partners, especially Cambridge International Education in developing training programs and improving the capacity of the teaching staff.
The Rector of Hanoi National University of Education assessed that the signing is an important milestone, creating a foundation for the two sides to soon implement specific cooperation contents, towards practical and long-term effectiveness.
The school is currently training in a variety of professions, from pedagogy, basic sciences, social sciences - humanities, to applied fields, with a team of experienced lecturers, and leading experts in the field of education. In addition, the School owns a system of practical general schools and specialized high schools of the University of Pedagogy, creating favorable conditions to link training, research and teaching practice.
He expressed his expectation that cooperation programs will be quickly realized, contributing to promoting the internationalization of education and improving the quality of training of schools in the coming time.
According to the cooperation agreement, the two sides will coordinate to implement a number of key contents, specifically: Organizing short-term Cambridge Initial Teacher Training (ITT) courses for students and teachers, implementing Professional Development Qualifications (PDQ) programs for lecturers and teachers, and at the same time recognizing AS/A Level degrees in admissions to training programs of Hanoi National University of Education.
The two sides also coordinate to create internship and job opportunities for students of Hanoi National University of Education at Cambridge schools and centers in Vietnam; support general schools and preschool centers directly under Hanoi National University of Education to implement the Cambridge program; Cooperate with the Ministry of Education and Training in the ESL project in Vietnam and exploit publishing cooperation opportunities with Hanoi National University of Education Publishing House in compiling, appraising and publishing international educational materials.
