Choosing a career associated with passion
In the context of the labor market increasingly prioritizing skilled and technically specialized human resources, many students have early oriented themselves to choose engineering majors right from when they are still in school. Not only because of the wide open job opportunities, these majors are also assessed to have stable income and long-term development potential.
Nguyen Huu Bao - a 12th grade student in Phu Tho - said that he is good at block A subjects, so he is aiming to pursue the technical industry group in the upcoming entrance exam. According to Bao, this is a field suitable for his personal abilities and interests, and also brings many job opportunities after graduation.
I want to study Mechatronics Engineering because I see that job opportunities are wide open, job positions are diverse, and salaries are also good. I think if I study the right major where I am strong, it will be easier to develop in the future" - Bao shared.
Not only attracting male students, engineering majors are also recording the participation of many female students with proactive and passionate spirits. Nguyen Bao Thuy Trang - a student majoring in Metal Cutting, Hanoi High-Tech College is one of such cases. Trang said that she decided to pursue the field of engineering because of her love for machines and technology.
“Initially, I found this industry quite dry because it mainly studies and works with machines. But the more I study, the more interesting it becomes, especially when I get to access modern equipment. I have a passion for exploration and research, so I feel this choice is right” - Trang shared.
From the actual choices of students, it can be seen that engineering majors not only require specialized knowledge but also perseverance, passion and a spirit of learning. When properly oriented, this will be a field that opens up many sustainable development opportunities for young people in the future.

Things that need to be
In the context of strong technology development, especially the explosion of AI, engineering industries still play an important role in the production and life systems. However, to pursue and develop in this field, learners not only need professional knowledge but also must converge many factors of skills and professional attitude.
According to Mr. Le The Hung - Head of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering Technology, Hanoi High-Tech College, passion is a prerequisite for young people who want to study engineering. Besides, carefulness, meticulousness and accuracy are also mandatory requirements, because even a small mistake in the operation or processing process can affect product quality.
Not stopping there, technical learners need to practice professional working style, prepare carefully in each stage. Compliance with procedures, ensuring labor safety and quality control are important factors to help workers improve work efficiency as well as build prestige in the profession.

Notably, in the context of AI being increasingly widely applied, learners need to know how to utilize AI as a means to optimize processes, improve productivity and work quality, instead of being completely dependent or afraid of being replaced.
Pursuing engineering in the new era requires a combination of passion, professional skills and ability to adapt to technology. When fully equipped with these factors, learners can completely seize opportunities and develop sustainably in this potential field.
