Actively seek suitable solutions
Entering the 2026 enrollment season, 12th grade students are facing many choices in terms of majors and schools. From initial concerns to the process of learning and considering, each candidate gradually forms a way to register aspirations suitable to their abilities and orientations. However, amidst the "matrix" of information and competitive pressure, many students are still struggling when making decisions.
The biggest concern of many candidates today is the order of aspirations. In particular, when the Ministry of Education and Training limits the number of aspirations, students feel pressured to determine which is the priority choice and which is the safe option.
Not only pressure from the new regulations, many candidates also face difficulties right from the initial orientation stage. Mai Huong - a 12th grade student in Hanoi said that she sought support from her family and teachers. "I asked for the opinions of my parents and teachers, who have followed me closely throughout my studies to know which major I am suitable for" - the female student shared.
From those advices, Huong continued to learn more deeply to choose a major that was both suitable for her ability and had prospects in the future.
As for Nhu Quynh - a 12th grade student in Thanh Hoa, she shared that she is still affected by the psychology of "choosing for sure", wanting to register many aspirations to increase opportunities. But this is what makes the arrangement become unclear, leading to confusion in the selection process.
Therefore, the female student tried to find her strengths, based on personal interests and desires to determine goals. This gives her motivation to strive in the final sprint.

Identify the focus, not spread out
According to enrollment experts, registering too many aspirations does not mean increasing the chances of admission. Conversely, spreading out may cause candidates to lose direction when they cannot determine where the main goal is.
Sharing experience on this issue, Dr. Tran Khac Thac - Head of the Training Department, Thuy Loi University - said that it is not advisable to register too many aspirations leading to dilution. When distracted, candidates are very likely to fall into the mentality of "standing on this mountain, looking at that mountain". Besides, each aspiration may come with many different admission methods, if there is no clear strategy, it will further confuse candidates.
Instead of chasing after quantity, students should focus on majors that are suitable for their abilities and career goals. Selective selection and scientific arrangement will help increase the chances of being admitted to the desired major.
In the context of increasingly diverse enrollment, registering aspirations is not only a choice, but also a strategic step. From determining goals, assessing competencies to arranging priorities, each step needs to be carefully considered.
The 2026 enrollment season is therefore not only a competition for scores, but also a test of each candidate's ability to choose. Careful preparation and clear decisions will be the key for them to confidently step into the university door.
