Male student of Hung Vuong Specialized School wins medal in European arena

Phu Tho - Male student Luong Duc Gia Bao just won a Silver Medal at the 2026 European Physics Olympiad.

On June 17, according to information from the Department of Education and Training of Phu Tho province, at the European Physics Olympiad (EuPhO) 2026 that just took place in Gothenburg, Sweden, the Vietnamese team continued to make a mark when all 5 participating students won medals.

In the overall achievement of the Vietnamese delegation, male student Luong Duc Gia Bao - a 12th grade student specializing in Physics, Hung Vuong High School for the Gifted (Phu Tho) - excellently won a Silver Medal.

According to official results, the Vietnamese team won 1 Gold Medal and 4 Silver Medals.

Nguyen Nhat Anh was the gold medalist, while the silver medals belonged to Luong Duc Gia Bao, Nguyen Thanh Trung, Hoang Van Thai Son and Nguyen Vu Manh Khang.

The European Physics Olympiad is a prestigious academic competition for high school students, attracting outstanding contestants from many countries around the world.

This year, the exam takes place from June 12 to 16 with the participation of nearly 200 contestants from 35 European countries and 6 guest teams. Contestants compete in two theoretical and practical contents, each test lasts 5 hours.

Luong Duc Gia Bao's results make an important contribution to the overall achievements of the Vietnamese team, and at the same time continue to affirm the quality of excellent student training of Hung Vuong Specialized High School in particular and key education in Phu Tho province in general.
