On the afternoon of June 17, at the meeting with leaders of press directing and management agencies; leaders and reporters of central and Hanoi press agencies on the occasion of the 101st anniversary of Vietnamese Revolutionary Press Day, Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Vu Dai Thang said that 2026 is a year of special significance in realizing the Central Government's major policies and orientations for the development of the Capital in the new period with 3 important documents: Master Plan for the development of the Capital with a 100-year vision, Resolution 02 of the Politburo and Capital Law 2026.
In particular, at the recent 4th Session, the City People's Council passed 54 resolutions, including 45 resolutions on mechanisms and policies to concretize the Capital Law of 2026, creating a synchronous legal basis for implementation from July 1, 2026.
Mr. Vu Dai Thang said that in the coming time, the city will focus on promoting double-digit growth; promoting public investment disbursement; many key projects are being accelerated such as Ring Road 4 - Capital Region, urban railway lines, bridges over the Red River, regional connecting traffic routes, flood control works, urban embellishment and digital infrastructure development.
At the same time, the city continues to implement many large-scale projects that have been approved in principle such as: International Sports Urban Area (Olympic); National Highway 1A Space Axis; Red River Landscape Axis, project to renovate and promote the value of the West Lake area...
These are projects of strategic significance, contributing to creating new development spaces, forming new growth poles and improving the quality of life of the Capital's people; at the same time, they are also projects with large-scale site clearance and resettlement, directly impacting people's lives.
The city clearly defines the principle that the relocation of people can only be carried out when new resettlement areas have been completed with synchronous technical infrastructure and social infrastructure; the new residence must have better living conditions than the old residence in accordance with the spirit of putting people at the center of all development policies" - Chairman of the City People's Committee affirmed.

Creating social consensus and strengthening people's trust
The Chairman of the City People's Committee affirmed that in the common achievements of the Capital, there is a very important contribution from central and Hanoi press agencies. The press has actively propagated the Party's guidelines and resolutions, policies and laws of the State; promptly reflected the key tasks of the city; created social consensus and consolidated people's trust.
In particular, the press has accompanied the city in propagating major policies, new tasks, difficult and unprecedented issues. From the work of arranging the organizational structure, building a 2-level local government model; implementing the Capital Law in 2026; building the Master Plan of the Capital with a 100-year vision; to strategic infrastructure projects, digital transformation programs, science and technology development, and innovation, all have the active and responsible participation of press agencies.

At the same time, the press has contributed to promoting the image of the cultured, peaceful, and creative Capital Hanoi; spreading the achievements, potentials and aspirations for development of the city to people nationwide and international friends" - Mr. Vu Dai Thang said.
