Dak Lak - The provincial education sector has spent bonuses for students who won high prizes in the national competition after parents had questions.

On January 29, some parents whose children achieved high results at the National High School Sports Festival in 2025 said they had received bonuses from the Department of Education and Training of Dak Lak province.

A parent said that her son won 2 medals in swimming at the National High School Sports Festival in 2025, held in Hue city in June 2025.

At the end of January 2026, his son received a Certificate of Merit from the Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee and a bonus of 3.5 million VND from Dak Lak Provincial Department of Education and Training.

This is not only a worthy recognition for my child's efforts but also a great source of encouragement for young athletes to continue to train, strive and bring more achievements to the province" - this parent shared.

As Lao Dong newspaper has reported, on October 3, 2025, Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee issued a decision to award Certificates of Merit to 18 individuals with outstanding achievements and high prizes at the National High School Sports Festival in 2025.

By January 2026, individuals participating in the above sports tournament had received Certificates of Merit from the Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee but had not yet received bonuses attached. This has caused many parents to wonder and have opinions.

The Department of Education and Training of Dak Lak province confirmed that the students who won medals according to regulations are all accompanied by a bonus amount. However, in order to encourage and motivate them, the department has prepared a dossier proposing unexpected rewards and it has been approved by the Provincial People's Committee.

The funding for commendation for 18 students has been transferred to the Department of Education and Training. It is expected that the payment of bonuses will be completed no later than January 31.
