Dak Lak - The provincial education sector has responded to the delay in paying bonuses to students who won high prizes in the national competition.

On January 26, some parents reflected that their children have not yet received bonuses and Certificates of Merit from the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee for individuals with outstanding achievements and high prizes at the National High School Sports Festival 2025.

A parent said that in June 2025, her son participated in swimming with two events at the 2025 National High School Sports Festival, held in Hue city.

As a result, he won two medals for the delegation. On October 3, 2025, Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee issued a decision to award Certificates of Merit to 18 individuals with outstanding achievements, winning high prizes at this tournament, including her child.

By January 2026, individuals participating in the above sports tournament had received Certificates of Merit from the Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee but had not yet received the accompanying bonus.

Leaders of the Department of Education and Training of Dak Lak province confirmed that students who win medals according to regulations are all accompanied by bonus money. However, in order to encourage and motivate them, the department has prepared a dossier proposing unexpected rewards and was approved by the Provincial People's Committee. Currently, the reward fund for 18 students has been transferred to the Department of Education and Training.

This amount of money is not paid directly but must be transferred through a bank account, so the procedure takes more time. The Department has collected the accounts of students who were rewarded and paid money to the treasury for transfer. It is expected that the payment of bonuses will be completed by January 31st at the latest," added the leader of the Department of Education and Training of Dak Lak province.
