On the afternoon of January 8, in Vientiane Capital, Special Envoy of the General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam To Lam, Comrade Le Hoai Trung, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Minister of Foreign Affairs led the delegation to congratulate the success of the 12th National Congress of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party and meet with the General Secretary of the 12th Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, President of Laos Thongloun Sisoulith.
At the meeting, Comrade Le Hoai Trung respectfully conveyed to General Secretary and President of Laos Thongloun Sisoulith and senior leaders of the Party and State of Laos the warmest congratulations of the Central Executive Committee, Politburo, and Secretariat of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
Comrade Le Hoai Trung congratulated Comrade Thongloun Sisoulith on being once again elected to hold the position of General Secretary of the 12th Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, thereby expressing the deep trust of the entire Party, army and people of Laos, and at the same time recognizing the great, wise and dedicated contributions of Comrade during the past time; firmly believing that, under the wise leadership of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party led by Comrade Thongloun Sisoulith as General Secretary, the brotherly country of Laos will enter an era of development with new beliefs and aspirations, continue to promote the achievements, overcome all difficulties and challenges, successfully complete the goals set out by the 12th Congress; successfully build a peaceful, independent, democratic, unified and prosperous Laos.
Comrade Le Hoai Trung also emphasized that the success of the Congress is also an important victory of the relationship between the two Parties and the two countries; affirming the good traditional relationship between the people of Vietnam and Laos, under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the Lao People's Revolutionary Party.
The Party, State and people of Vietnam will do their best together with the Party, State and people of Laos to preserve, nurture, constantly consolidate, develop and further deepen the great friendship, special solidarity, comprehensive cooperation, strategic link between Vietnam and Laos; Vietnam is always ready to stand shoulder to shoulder, wholeheartedly support and share experiences with Laos in the cause of building and protecting the Fatherland.
Comrade Le Hoai Trung respectfully conveyed the words of General Secretary To Lam inviting General Secretary Thongloun Sisoulith, his wife and the high-level delegation of the Lao Party and State to visit the State level in the near future as soon as possible.
At the meeting, General Secretary and President of Laos Thongloun Sisoulith briefly announced the results of the 12th Congress of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party; highly appreciated and respectfully thanked General Secretary To Lam for sending Special Envoys to congratulate the success of the Congress, vividly expressing the close, trusting and fraternal relationship between Laos and Vietnam; expressed sincere and deep gratitude for the great, precious, timely and effective support and assistance that Vietnam has given to Laos throughout the revolutionary journey as well as in the process of preparing and organizing the 12th Party Congress of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party.
The General Secretary and President of Laos also sent sincere thanks to General Secretary To Lam, President Luong Cuong, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man, Standing Secretary of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu, and other leaders of Vietnam who always cared, closely followed, encouraged and motivated, and effectively supported the great friendship between Vietnam and Laos.
Comrade Thongloun Sisoulith affirmed that the Party, State, people of Laos and the comrade personally especially value and give the highest priority to consolidating and strengthening the great friendship, special solidarity, comprehensive cooperation, and strategic linkage between Vietnam - Laos, Laos - Vietnam; requested the two sides to continue to closely coordinate to effectively implement the new high-level agreements agreed upon in the past, bringing the relationship between the two countries increasingly deeper, more substantive and effective, for the practical interests of the people of the two countries, for peace, stability and sustainable development in the region and in the world.
